V530 Cygni / V530 Cyg
Light curves and phase diagrams of the 'INSA' (GCVS data and type) or 'E' type eclipsing binary (AAVSO VSX) V530 Cygni / V530 Cyg. (There is some ambiguity about which type of variable it is.)
Te following light curve and phase diagram were constructed from photometry of 92 images taken with the Open University COAST telescope (a 14 inch Schmidt-Cassegrain) through a V filter between 2017 July 9 and 2018 January 22.
An addition 13 images were taken with the Bradford Robotic Telescope Galaxy Camera (the 'BRT', also a 14 inch SCT) through a V filter between 2014 July 12 and 2016 September 16 were reduced. These have been added to the COAST data, resulting in the following light curve and phase diagram; BRT data in red, COAST data in black.
The CGVS lists this star as an 'INSA' type variable but does not give a period. The AAVSO VSX lists this star as an 'E' type eclipsing binary (ie sub-type unknown) with a period of 50.830754 d. (Accessed 2018 March 6.)
I hope to obtain more results via the COAST telescope, and perhaps help determine the type, eg by confirming the very low amplitude secondary minimum which is hinted at (?) in the above phase diagrams.
